Rejected look to round out the summer and call in the autumn with a track that has been igniting floors all season for label chiefs Edwin Oosterwal and Joris Voorn. “Mike Loves The Horn” also sees a Rejected debut for two artists who individually have rapidly risen to the top of their game.
Canadian producer and Rawthentic label boss Carlo Lio has enjoyed a whirlwind couple of years. As an artist his sound sits proud within the far reaching realms of Techno and Tech-House. Having spent the summer enjoying the delights of his Barcelona base, he also found time to step into the studio with friends, one of which being, Coyu. Spanish producer Coyu has followed a similar musical trajectory to become one of the most in demand young producers of today. As a label owner he has also seen his Suara imprint go from strength to strength and become a home to many an established name.
“Mike Loves The Horn” finds the pair in full party mode. Borrowing heavily from the legendary Jon Cutler, we are treated to a funky guitar riff, which is soon overpowered by the aforementioned ‘Horn’. Both underpinned by the strongest of kickdrums. Edwin Oosterwal steps up on the remix and takes the original on a twisted run. A blunted filtered bass pulses throughout, backing a fearsome kick drum as the original’s guitar is fed through the wah wah. Fine performances from all involved…It’s yours!
Mixmag presents Rejected & Diynamic at ADE
This year Rejected will host a night together with Diynamic and Mixmag at Studio 80 for the ADE on Thursday October 20. Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal invited Maya Jane Coles for her first gig in The Netherlands. Next to this Solomun, Stimming, H.O.S.H. and David August will be playing. This is going to be a lot of fun!

Rejected at Fuel Grand Closing!
Next to their 15 years on stage celebration at Trouw Amsterdam this Saturday. You can also catch Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal together with Eva Maria at the Grand Closing of Beach Club Fuel this Sunday September 18 in Bloemendaal aan Zee. We’re already looking forward to the weekend and we hope to see you there!
Come and celebrate 15 years of Rejected!
This year Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal have been dj-ing together for 15 years. Some of these records are pictured in the flyer below. Stimming – “Cheesecake” out now on Green
Stimming returns to Green for the first time since the release of his stunning “Gaensebluemchen.” His beautifully unique and avant garde productions have won him a legion of loyal followers who wait impatiently and excited for news of his new work. We are part of this collective, making it all the more fulfilling to be able to play host to the latest music from Hamburg’s finest.
Fresh off the back of his artist album “Liquorice”, and with his new co-productions alongside H.O.S.H. (“My Shadow”) and David August (“Sexy Biest”) causing a stir as they ready to drop on Diynamic’s 50th release, Stimming is in frighteningly good form.. as he proves on this brand new two tracker, “Cheescake” / “Snowflake.”
“Cheesecake” on the A is indeed, smooth and creamy in texture. Its crisp snares and hats are paired with an off kilter bassline, twinkling keys, flute and acoustic guitar, to create a delicious base for the its sweet vocal topping. At first “Snowflake” on the flip sounds like an orchestra in tuning mode. Snap of a snare, the pluck of a violin. Its only when the kick drum and bassline drop that this collection of sounds is fused together. A skill and sound that is without doubt unique to Stimming. Love those hand-claps!

Deetron – “Starblazer” on Rejected!
Whilst we are used to finding the lush anthemic techno of Deetron on our sister label Green. We couldn’t be more excited to be welcoming the Swiss artist today with two fresh cuts and a debut, for Rejected.
More suited a Rejected double-header you will struggle to find, as Deetron delivers in outstanding peak time fashion. “Starblazer” growls and grooves from the off. The snare rolls announce the piano, and we are treated to an escalating riff, culminating in a classic ‘hands in the air’ moment. Bass and piano lead the way on the flip too, as “Solar Surge” certainly brings the heat as its oldskool dubby bassline rolls along and its piercing key riff stab throughout.
Both tracks are set to have a major impact on the summer’s floor, as of course one would expect from Deetron productions.

Pitto’s debut album out now on Green!
On his highly anticipated debut artist album, Dutch producer Pitto displays a
mature and genre-defying sound. Working with a number of gifted musicians and vocalists (and even singing on a couple of tracks himself) he has taken a bold step, joining the dots from filtered house to fragile electronic pop. In a time when the LP has become a promotional tool rather than a form of expression, Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear stands out as a truly sincere and compelling artist album. Nic Fanciulli & Joris Voorn – “Together” out now
Following their blistering opening to the year with Ben Klock & DVS1′s remixes of Rejected’s “For The People”, the Dutch imprint turn to their chief of command and a brace of Fanciulli’s for this, their Fourth release of 2011.
On the A we find Joris Voorn locked in a dream-team combo’ with Rejected regular, Nic Fanciulli. Having reveled in the techno sounds of the labels previous release, “Together” drops us head first, into filter fueled tech-house territory. Oozing summer vibes and lavished with familiar vocal samples, this rolling number is set to take the summer’s terraces by storm…
On the B its the turn of the younger Fanciulli to take center stage. 2011 is set to be a big year for Mark and he kicks thing off in style with his debut Rejected release, “The Tide.” With Joris on the Edit, we are treated to a stripped, sleazy and bass-heavy groove… the hypnotic vocal is the key and instantly whisks us away to our very own electric ladyland… This is one tide that will never be out… Enjoy!
