18 hours of party madness

This Saturday Rejected is hosting a stage together with We Are Connected at the 18hrs festival in Zaandam. The party starts at 12 noon and will go on till about 6 o’clock in the morning. Next to the hosts Warren Fellow and Edwin Oosterwal, artists like Nic Fanciulli, Technasia, Michel de Hey and Secret Cinema will be joining us. See flyer below for the full line up. Hope to see you there!

Deetron – “Starblazer” on Rejected!

Whilst we are used to finding the lush anthemic techno of Deetron on our sister label Green. We couldn’t be more excited to be welcoming the Swiss artist today with two fresh cuts and a debut, for Rejected.

More suited a Rejected double-header you will struggle to find, as Deetron delivers in outstanding peak time fashion. “Starblazer” growls and grooves from the off. The snare rolls announce the piano, and we are treated to an escalating riff, culminating in a classic ‘hands in the air’ moment. Bass and piano lead the way on the flip too, as “Solar Surge” certainly brings the heat as its oldskool dubby bassline rolls along and its piercing key riff stab throughout.

Both tracks are set to have a major impact on the summer’s floor, as of course one would expect from Deetron productions.

Pitto’s debut album out now on Green!

On his highly anticipated debut artist album, Dutch producer Pitto displays a
mature and genre-defying sound. Working with a number of gifted musicians and vocalists (and even singing on a couple of tracks himself) he has taken a bold step, joining the dots from filtered house to fragile electronic pop. In a time when the LP has become a promotional tool rather than a form of expression, Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear stands out as a truly sincere and compelling artist album. Nic Fanciulli & Joris Voorn – “Together” out now

Following their blistering opening to the year with Ben Klock & DVS1′s remixes of Rejected’s “For The People”, the Dutch imprint turn to their chief of command and a brace of Fanciulli’s for this, their Fourth release of 2011.

On the A we find Joris Voorn locked in a dream-team combo’ with Rejected regular, Nic Fanciulli. Having reveled in the techno sounds of the labels previous release, “Together” drops us head first, into filter fueled tech-house territory. Oozing summer vibes and lavished with familiar vocal samples, this rolling number is set to take the summer’s terraces by storm…

On the B its the turn of the younger Fanciulli to take center stage. 2011 is set to be a big year for Mark and he kicks thing off in style with his debut Rejected release, “The Tide.” With Joris on the Edit, we are treated to a stripped, sleazy and bass-heavy groove… the hypnotic vocal is the key and instantly whisks us away to our very own electric ladyland… This is one tide that will never be out… Enjoy!

Support from:
James Zabiela – “Together is really nice! thanks guys! :)”

Lee Burridge – “THE TIDE IS A BOMB! Wow! Nice work to all involved. Totally up my street.”
Nick Curly – “Such a wicked ep…love it!!”
Deetron – “The Tide is MASSIVE!”
Craig – (Silicone Soul) – “Oh yeah, i’m feeling the funk!!!”
2000 and One – “Together is a killer tune!!!”

For The People remixes out now!

Produced in 2004 Joris and Edwin first released “For The People” under their Rejected alias on the Sound Architecture label and found great success. Today, “For The People” receives not one, but three fresh reworks. Berghain resident, Klockworks label boss and Ostgut Ton artist, Ben Klock leads the way and is really the catalyst for the whole release. Having remixed the track for his own sets, and over many months, thoroughly roadtested it, he sent it to the label to check out. Now Rejected bring it to you. Backing Ben is another techno favourite of the Rejected camp, DVS1. The Minneapolis man turns in two remixes. His ‘For Everyone’ mix is a stripped, deeper, bass heavy rework, whilst the digital exclusive ‘For No One’ mix exerts more thrust with powerful synths. Check it out on Beatport
