nic fanciulli hosts dusty house room 3!

Undoubtedly one of the successes of 2009, Rejected’s ‘Dusty House’ series rolls into town with its latest installment, and this time the Dutch label has invited a new artist on board: Nic Fanciulli. With the incredible success of tracks like ‘Sweep The Floor’ and ‘Chase The Mouse’, the series has found world wide DJ, Radio and Chart support, for its exciting brand of powerfully charged house. Sometimes filtered, sometimes disco, but always fueled by funk, it is a brave man who takes on the challenge of hosting a room at the ‘Dusty House’. Take it on he has. Fanciulli has fitted the function one, built the lighting rig, hooked up the smoke machine, and  he’s even gone and supplied a free bar. All to create the perfect setting for these two prime cuts of filtered goodness. ‘Feed The Freezer’ has been hugging the disco ball, where as ‘Work The Week’ has been getting friendly with the Latin chick who’s been samba-ing over the in the corner all night. Both are perfect additions to a Dusty House that with each room is becoming one hell of a party venue!!rej0073.jpg

green welcomes 360!

After the superb success of the labels last EP, Stimming’s ‘Gaensebluemchen’, Green returns with yet another stunning release. 360 is the alias of Dutch duo, Nuno dos Santos and Patrice Baumel. Having joined forces to create the 360 Soundsystem, a live act that allows them to create sophisticated night-long trips for their audience using sound FX, loops and of course killer records, as demonstrated at their 360 residency at Trouw Amsterdam. It was only a matter of time before the duo locked themselves away in the studio to produce some music. The reward from those sessions are here for you today in the shape of ‘Neon’. A more perfectly suited Green release you will not find. As with their live sets, 360 have turned out two beautifully sophisticated house cuts. Deep, warm, uplifting, an infused with that extra touch of Dutch magic, both cuts are set to rule the darkest of basements and the largest of arenas for some time to come.gr08.jpg

green welcomes stimming!

green is very happy and super excited to be bringing you the incredible ‘gaensebluemchen” ep by stimming. three stunningly creative, and forward thinking tracks, encompassing the very best of house, techno and minimal, all woven together with a golden musical thread. a sprinkle of stimming stardust and the most brilliant sound effects. supported by ellen allien, kenny larkin, dubfire, sebo k, jimpster, anton pieete, and many more.gr07.jpg

pitto - feelin’ remixes out now!

who would’ve thought it, techno dj’s playing filtered house. well, earlier this year it happened, and it was pitto’s ‘feelin” that caused the sensation. the original and superb dub, has gone on to become one of the biggest club releases of 2009. whispered rumour of a remix package has abound, and these were confirmed with early copies of a district one remix finding support amongst the dutch elite. well now its time to confirm the rumour, and not only bring you the district one remix, but bolster the package with a devastating remix from the master, joris voorn. supported by dj hell, pete tong, dj t, 2000 and one, michel cleis, sis, tobi neumann and many more. enjoy!rej009.jpg

dusty house room 2!

rejected’s dusty house series got off to the finest of starts with room 1. featuring the tracks ‘empty trash’ and the stunning ’sweep the floor’ by joris voorn, it instantly became a dj favourite, finding support from the world’s leading lights. how do you follow up such a big release? with another of course! check out room 2. another two choice cuts of voorn at his best. taking oldskool samples and sensibilities, and matching them with new school muscle, he presents the incredible ‘chase the mouse’ and ‘we’re all clean’. which works best? well thats for you to decide. But we know from joris’s road tests that these are set to follow on from the success of room 1, and we’ll be hearing them for many many months to come! supported by dj hell, brothers vibe, 2000 and one, shinedoe, michel de hey and many, many, many more. rej0072.jpg

new release on green!

joris voorn & edwin oosterwal’s green imprint is probably best known for it’s modern classics ‘blank’ and ‘mpx309’. now they return with another classic: dosem’s beach kisses. 2008 saw the first release of the original ‘beach kisses’ on the ‘neue larmklassiker’ label. heavily supported by a wide range of dj’s, it was picked and edited by joris voorn to feature on his excellent ‘balance’ compilation. with voorn being such a huge fan of the track, it made sense for him to pick it up for ‘green’. so today, we bring ‘beach kisses’ the joris voorn green mix. powerful synth’s are the order of the day on this euphoric masterpiece. on the flip dosem has provided us with his own new edit under his ’sendo’ guise. an atmospheric delight. and keep your ears and eyes peeled for the upcoming album ‘niwa’ on green from swiss sensation ripperton!gr06.jpg

new rejected track out on figure!

it’s been a while but joris voorn and edwin oosterwal teamed up again and they have just released another bomb. this time not on one of their own labels but on len faki’s figure label. it’s a split platter with slam. slam’s contribution is an absolute monster, a huge peak-time, dark-as-you-like floor smasher. rejected’s slyly named “peanuts” sounds like the best remix that never came out of a certain similarily nut-based anthem from a couple of years ago … no gimmick though, this is a perfectly constructed piece of dancefloor business,  just those drums on their own would have been a must buy tune!  figure20.jpg

hotlips finally :)

still riding high on the wave of support for joris voorn’s ‘dusty house ep’ (check the overall beatport chart, it’s already at number 4!) we return with a release that features two summer bombs.
first up and opening the release in fantastic style is ‘hotlips’. edwin oosterwal and his buddy warren fellow, deliver a cut that has already gained cult status in the netherlands. built around a trademark ‘rejected’ groove, its simplicity is its strength. super solid house beats woven together with the laidback vocal hook, create a sexy dancefloor mover.
fred trumpet, delivers the ‘last call’ to all those looking to sample the wonderful breath fueled instruments. ‘retteketet’ is without doubt one of the biggest tracks of the year, set to take the summer season by storm. a horn line that could’ve been lifted from the finest of soul bands to those of gansta-town 1940’s. with its eastern oboe break for good measure, it is a true delight. sys, for those of you who are also tired of the brass, and read this with a sense of fear, do not despair. if you only play one more horn sampling track this year, make sure its this one!rej008.jpg

new joris voorn on rejected!

hot on the heels of one of 2009’s hottest tracks to date, pitto’s ‘feelin’ (see below), comes the next golden nugget on our label. this time we bring you the first release of an exciting new series called dusty house. the dusty house series sees us first enter room 1. inside we find two choice cuts by joris voorn. ’sweep the floor’ finds us delving into oldskool territory. tricky hi-hats, get eaten up by the subtle marching bassline that increases in strength. a cheeky guitar lick, horn stabs, vocal drop and we’re off. it’s a floor burner of the highest order, and one that will keep the floor grooving throughout! ’empty trash’ (you following the theme right?), shows voorn’s skill of injecting his techno weight into his house productions. here he gives us menacing synths, that stalk us. yet when primed and at their most dangerous, perfectly timed, he drops the vocal, and wraps us in the comforting bassline. support by luciano, karotte, gregor tresher, 2000 and one, tobi neumann and many more.
