in the early nineties edwin oosterwal discovered his passion for electronic dance music and decided to start playing records himself. after winning a dj-contest he became a resident at the weekly basic grooves parties at atak in enschede. this is where he also first met joris voorn. at the end of the nineties edwin packed his record bag and moved to sydney, australia and later to new york city.after living in new york city for five years he returned to rotterdam where he met up again with joris. they start producing music together under the rejected moniker and their debut ep on sound architecture records was a huge success. at the end of 2006 they launched their own record label called rejected. the first release was a massive success.beyond the studio, joris and edwin (aka rejected) have been dj-ing all over europe including major events in holland like awakenings and planet rose. edwin's style can best be described as a mix of house and techno. he has played at parties worldwide from new york city to istanbul, berlin to barcelona and sydney.

green at doornroosje!

after a very successful night at berlin’s panoramabar last weekend, joris voorn and edwin oosterwal will host a green night at doornroosje in nijmegen this saturday, february 13th. the night is the official release party of ripperton’s debut album on green “niwa”. next to ripperton they invited dutch talents pitto and quince who both are working on releases for green. see you there!

this sunday joris voorn and edwin oosterwal will host a green night at berlin’s panoramabar as part of the closing of this year’s club transmediale. they invited deetron and pitto to join them in one of the world’s most infamous venues. the party starts around 14.00 and will end when the last person has left the dancefloor. see you there!

rejected all night long at trouw!

saturday january 16 joris voorn and edwin oosterwal will play all night long at one of amsterdam’s hottest venues trouw. it will be something very special as they do not often get a chance to play all night long. joris and edwin are both really looking forward and they hope to see you there!

rejected label night at atak

on friday december 18 joris voorn and edwin oosterwal are going back to their roots, back to where it all started: atak, enschede. after both coming in first place at a local dj contest they shared a residency at atak for several years. now they return to host a rejected label night. atak has since then moved to a different venue but that shouldn’t stop them from having fun. they are joined by pitto and reach visuals. hope to see you there!

cliche @ seven

this friday warren fellow and edwin oosterwal will join forces again at their montly residency at seven in the hague. this time they will do an extra long back to back session starting at 1 pm until the last one leaves. so it’s up to you!

rejected label night at cafe d’anvers!

friday the 13th of november joris voorn and edwin oosterwal will host a rejected label night at the legendary club cafe d’anvers in belgium. cafe d’anvers has been around for 20 years and joris and edwin are very excited to play at the club. hope to see you there!

new residency at seven!

this friday october 23 edwin oosterwal will start his new monthly resideny at seven in the hague. the night is called cliche and together with good friend warren fellow (remember hotlips?) he will host the friday night once a month. hope to see you there!

ade 2009

this year joris voorn and edwin oosterwal will attend the ade 2009. on thursday joris will be part of a panel about the art of how to sustain success, to keep your fans and how to make money with attitude. friday joris and edwin will play at the official buma cultuur coctail hour. and on saturday edwin will be checking your demos as part of the demopitch at ade next. see you at the ade!
